Sound familiar?
The things that eat a barber’s day — and what Atlas does about each one. Only what Atlas does today.
- Paying a marketplace for a regular from round the corner — who then scrolls past three other shops?
Atlas isn’t a marketplace: no new-client fee, and your booking page shows only your shop.
- A no-show in the middle of the Saturday rush?
Automatic reminders by email and SMS, and deposits through your own Mollie account.
- DMs, calls and a double-booked chair — all between two fades?
Clients book themselves from your Instagram or Google link, and Atlas blocks double bookings per barber and per chair.
- Walk-ins and bookings fighting over the same afternoon?
Ring walk-ins up at the till without a booking. The calendar shows every barber’s day at a glance.
- Cash-up at closing: cash here, card there, QR somewhere else?
One till for cash, Bancontact and iDEAL QR, split payments and tips — and a day close that adds it all up.
- Regulars who speak Dutch, French or English?
Your booking page and the app work in all three.
Atlas vs. marketplaces & salon apps
Compare before you choose.Facts, not slogans.
Marketplace apps can bring you new clients — and charge for each one. Classic salon software gives you your own page, with extras priced separately. Here’s where Atlas sits.
| What you get | Atlas | Marketplace apps | Classic salon software |
|---|---|---|---|
| Commission or new-client fee | Good for you: None. Atlas isn’t a marketplace. | Watch out: A one-time fee on each new client the marketplace sends you — 35% of the first booking at Treatwell. None on returning clients. | Good for you: None on your own booking page. Marketplace add-ons can charge — 35% on new bookings through Salonized’s Treatwell link. |
| Your own booking page, under your shop’s name | Good for you: Yes, in your own colours, plus a widget for your website. | A profile inside the marketplace, plus a booking link for your own channels. | Good for you: Yes, as a booking page or widget. |
| Other shops shown while your clients book | Good for you: No. Your page shows only your shop. | Watch out: Yes, when clients book inside the marketplace app. | Good for you: No, on your own booking page. |
| Dutch and French | Good for you: App, booking page and website in Dutch, French and English. | Good for you: Dutch at Fresha and Treatwell; French at Treatwell. | Good for you: Salonized: Dutch, French, English and German. |

Payment fees: for Atlas we count Mollie’s Bancontact rate (€0.39 a payment) plus the 0.15% Atlas fee — cards cost more. Treatwell: 2% (+ VAT) on online prepayments; Fresha: 0.89% + €0.10 in person (1% + €0.20 online); Salonized Pay: 1%. One-off card terminal costs aren’t counted. Atlas reminders above the plan’s SMS go by email where the client has an address; extra SMS bundles are coming.
Your own estimate, for comparison only: list prices checked 30 September 2026, excl. VAT. Prices change — check each source. Anything a vendor doesn’t publish is left out. And a marketplace may bring you clients that Atlas won’t.

Built for barbers
What your shop runs on.
Everything below works together, so the day doesn’t depend on you remembering it all.
Let clients book while you cut.
Your booking page shows real times for each cut and each barber. Clients book, reschedule or cancel without calling the shop.
- Men’s haircut, beard trim, towel shave — each with its own length
- Clients choose their barber, or anyone free
- Buffers between cuts, no double bookings
- Booking widget for your site or Instagram link
“What appointments do I have tomorrow?”
Every barber, their own hours.
One barber works Tuesday to Saturday, another only afternoons. Set it once and the booking page follows it.
- Working hours per barber
- Time off and shop closures
- Which services each barber does
- Roles and logins for the team
“Add Hasan to Saturday.”
A cancellation shouldn’t mean an empty chair.
Clients waiting for a full day can join the waitlist. When a slot opens, you know who wanted it.
- Waitlist for full days
- Reminders that cut no-shows
- Self-service rescheduling
- Deposits, where configured
“Who could take this cancelled slot?”
Remember every regular.
Notes, visit history and what they bought stay with the client — so you know it’s “the usual” before they sit down.
- Visit history and notes
- No-shows on record
- Import your client list from a CSV
- Export and privacy tools
“Who hasn’t come back recently?”
Finish the cut. Take the payment.
The haircut, the beard trim and the wax go on one ticket, with the barber attached. Walk-ins go straight on the till, no booking needed. Tips, discounts and VAT handled.
- Services and products on one ticket
- Walk-in sales at the till
- Bancontact, iDEAL or card via Mollie, where configured
- Cash and split payments, tips and discounts
- Receipts, refunds and day close
“How were sales last week?”
See which cuts carry the shop.
Sales by service, by barber and by day. Styling products drop from stock as they sell.
- Revenue by service and barber
- Cancellations and no-shows
- Stock levels and low-stock warnings
- VAT and day-close figures

Good to know
A few practical questions.
No. Atlas takes no commission on your bookings or your clients. Card and online payments run through your own Mollie account at Mollie’s rates, plus a small Atlas fee on those payments that is shown on the pricing page. When you refund a payment, the Atlas fee on the refunded part is credited back to your payment account — shown on every transaction.
No, and we won’t pretend to. Atlas isn’t a marketplace. It gives your existing clients, your Instagram and your Google profile one link to book you directly, under your own name.
Clients can cancel or reschedule within your booking rules. The waitlist keeps track of clients who wanted a full day, so you know who to offer the slot to.
Less than you’d think. Import your client list from a CSV: you match your columns, and Atlas shows a preview and skips duplicates before anything is saved. Services, barbers and future appointments can be imported too, in the supported format. For early adopters, migration and personal setup are free.
You do. Export your client list as a CSV any time, export everything held on one client for a data request, and export sales reports as CSV. Your business data is never used to train AI models.
No card is needed to start, and Free stays free. Paid plans are not live yet; the plan is that you can cancel a paid plan at any time and carry on with Free, without losing your data.
Your shop carries on with Free — 1 user, online bookings and email reminders, no time limit — unless you choose a paid plan. Nothing is deleted.
Yes. Confirmations and reminders go out by email automatically, from templates you can edit. SMS works once an SMS provider is configured.
Yes. Ring a walk-in up at the till without a booking or a client record. The sale still counts in your reports.
No. Clients can pay by Bancontact or iDEAL by scanning a QR code at the till, through your own Mollie account. Where a Mollie terminal is configured, card and tap-to-pay run through it. Atlas doesn’t sell hardware, and it isn’t a bank: payments are handled by Mollie.
Yes. The website, the app and your booking page are available in Dutch, French and English.
No. Atlas is not a certified cash register system (GKS, the “witte kassa”). Whether your shop needs one depends on your situation — check with your accountant.
